Festive Tossed Salad
Ingredients
Salad:
1 C Swiss Cheese (cut into small pieces)
1 Medium Apple- cubed.
1 Medium Pear- cored and cubed.
1/4 C Cranberries
1 head green leaf lettuce-washed and cut into small pieces
Candied Pecans:
1/2-3-4 C Pecans-chopped
1/4 C Sugar
Dressing:
1/2 C Sugar
1/3 C Apple Cider Vinegar
2 TBS Lemon Juice
2 TBS finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp Salt
2/3 C Veg. Oil
2-3 tsp Poppy Seeds
Whisk All ingredients together for dressing, it can be saved for a few days. Chop pecans and place sugar in small skillet and heat on Medium heat until sugar turns clear. Remove skillet from heat and place nuts in the skillet, stir nuts until they're completely covered by sugar. Let cool on plate, after cooled, chop lightly. Combine all ingredients for salad, dressing, toss and serve cold.
